The official Palm Springs Downtown Tree Lighting Ceremony for 2025 is scheduled for Friday, December 5, 2025, at 5:15 p.m. at Frances Stevens Park at the corner of Alejo and Palm Canyon Drive. This festive annual event will include holiday music, carolers, and activities, and kicks off the city’s holiday season, which also features the Palm Springs Festival of Lights Parade on Saturday, December 6 at 5:45 p.m. The Parade starts at Ramon Rd. and ends at Tachevah Rd. Consistently voted one of the best local events in the Coachella Valley, this parade, which started in the 1990s, was also voted one of the Top Ten Holiday Parades in the country.
